Calculate the overall cost of renovation work before deciding

We can dream of a beautiful renovation, draw redevelopment plans, file a declaration of work or a building permit at the town hall... But be careful, put in place a complete costing of your renovation before going too far in your project. Otherwise, you may have to backtrack later as the cost will exceed your original budget. And it is better to take into account a complete costing. For example, do not settle for the costing of the mason which does not include electricity or that of the plumber which does not include the laying of the tiles of your new bathroom. Clearly, all trades must be integrated into your costing from the start. Otherwise, you risk a big financial slippage during the project. 

VAT rules  for renovation work

VAT 5.5%

– Renovation or energy improvement work: installation, installation and maintenance of energy-saving materials and equipment, respecting technical characteristics and minimum performance criteria: condensing boiler, heat pump, thermal insulation, heating or renewable energy production, etc.

– Induced work, inseparably linked to energy efficiency work, which appears on the same invoice as the main work: moving radiators or removing floors, for example.

Excluded are renovation or aesthetic work (covering an insert, wallpapering, etc.).

 

10% VAT
(replaces the old rate at 7%)
